Welcome!

Intro + What's this all about?

Welcome to my newsletter!

Who am I?

My name's Paul Kim. I've been working in digital marketing for the past decade, specializing in SEO and content marketing.

My career path has been a little different than most in the field. Since 2012, I've only ever held one full-time job - as an SEO specialist at a design and marketing agency here in Vancouver. And I only worked there for one year before I quit to work on my own websites.

Since then, I've been using my SEO skillset to build media companies. That's my fancy way of saying I built blogs and affiliate sites.

Over the years, I've built a few sites to six-figures in annual revenue, and had several six-figure exits as well. But I've yet to crack the 7-figure milestone. Currently working on that now, as well as starting to write a little bit more publicly here.

What is this newsletter?

A large part of building a portfolio of revenue-generating websites is... research. I do a TON of research everyday.

As a result, I come across interesting small little websites, in weird little niches, that nobody really knows about, but are doing 6-7 figures in revenue each year.

How do I know how much they make?

Because I can analyze their traffic, see how they're monetizing, and that's usually enough to be able to come to a fairly accurate estimate of yearly revenue.

There are so many little websites online that make a killing. They're usually run by people like me - just solo entrepreurs who are good at SEO and use their skills to build high-traffic websites.

Profit margins on websites like these are 75% on the low end, 90%+ on the high end.

They're great, boring businesses that usually run pretty passively.

This newsletter is just me sharing a lot of these sites I come across with you guys, and sharing a bit of analysis on how much they're earning, what their traffic level is, and maybe if I'm feeling it... how I'd create something similar and compete with them.
